Hello again

It has been a while since my last post. Thing have been kind of crazy, and not just because the kids were out on Christmas break...of course they don't call it that now. It's "winter break" now. I can think of lots of responses to that, but I will just leave it be.

Anyway... Our whole holiday break was pretty humdrum. I was even kind of wishing there was some way we could have an additional week. : ) Shane spent the whole month of December trying out a job that had given him an offer. So until the week after Christmas he was working double shifts. Yes it about killed us all and mostly him.

Then during the break he only had to work during the day but they were working ten hour shifts. We just kept joking that it was like a really nice Christmas bonus. Of course we all had to get a nice lovely cold to go with it all.

Still, it was a good Christmas and we got to spend lots of time with family on both sides, which was really nice since we haven't seen some of them for a few years.

In the end, after much discussion and prayer, we decided he shouln't take the job. Shane told me that after he told them his decision it was like a huge weight was lifted off his shoulders. : )
